Marvel films say goodbye to Netflix

Trending
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” will be the final Marvel film we’ll see on Netflix. “Captain Marvel” and “The Avengers 4” will premiere directly on the new Disney streaming platform. The launch of this new service is expected for 2019.
The rest of Marvel’s content, such as the first “Ant-Man” movie, “Doctor Strange,” “Civil War,” and “Age of Ultron” will be removed once contracts between Disney and Netflix are over. However, it will be several years until that happens.
What about series produced between Marvel and Netflix, such as “Jessica Jones” and “Daredevil”…? Since they were co-produced, Netflix maintains rights and they’ll likely remain on the platform. Another big question is Star Wars content. For now, statements from Disney only mention Marvel.

The final mystery: what will happen to Netflix in other countries? For now, all of Disney’s preparations for the launch of its own platform are focused on the United States. Perhaps for other countries, Disney content on the platform will remain a few years longer.
